Dr. Mohamed Fahmy

Dr. Mohamed Fahmy is a Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon with more than 30 years of experience in joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery. He completed his higher surgical training in the United Kingdom, obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow and MCh (Orthopaedics) from Dundee Medical School in Scotland in 1996. In 2016, he was awarded an honorary Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the International Group for Advancement of Spinal Science (IGASS).

Dr. Fahmy specializes in joint replacement surgery, with particular expertise in complex primary and revision knee replacements, as well as hip and shoulder replacements. He has extensive experience in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the knee, including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and cartilage repair. He also treats difficult fractures around the shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, and ankle, and has presented his work on bilateral simultaneous knee replacement for patients with complex knee deformity at international conferences.
