Dr. Himanshu Chauhan

Dr Himanshu Chauhan is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Pain Medicine Specialist with over two decades of experience in anaesthesia, perioperative care, and interventional pain management. He has held senior positions including Associate Staff at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Clinical Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University in the USA, bringing international expertise to NMC Healthcare Dubai.

He provides comprehensive pre-operative assessment and anaesthetic management across multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, plastic surgery, gynaecology, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, and orthopaedic trauma. He is skilled in difficult airway management (fibreoptic techniques, submental intubation, and percutaneous tracheostomy) and specializes in ultrasound-guided procedures, central venous catheterization, and regional anaesthesia blocks. In pain management, he performs fluoroscopy-guided epidural injections, facet joint interventions, nerve blocks, and sympathetic blocks, with additional expertise in cancer pain management and musculoskeletal interventions.

Dr Chauhan's approach emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based, multidisciplinary care focused on improving patient comfort, functionality, and quality of life. He also plays an active role in theatre management and training in anaesthesia and pain management.
