Dr. Abtan Ahmad Al-Talafih

Dr Abtan Ahmad Al-Talafih is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with over 30 years of medical practice specializing in gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He trained at leading international institutions and holds Jordanian Board certifications in both Gastroenterology & Hepatology and Internal Medicine, alongside UK postgraduate qualifications (MRCP). His postgraduate clinical training spans the United Kingdom, Italy, and Egypt.

Dr Al-Talafih's practice centres on advanced endoscopic procedures—both diagnostic and therapeutic. He performs gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy (polyp removal), capsule endoscopy, and management of bleeding in the digestive tract. He also offers specialized procedures including intragastric balloon insertion, gastric Botox injection, feeding tube placement (PEG), stricture dilatation, stent insertion, and foreign body removal. He uses additional diagnostic tools such as pH studies with esophageal pressure testing and fibroscan for liver assessment.
