Dr. Mohammed Masuood Irfan

Dr. Mohammed Masuood Irfan is a Consultant Neurosurgeon with 28 years of experience diagnosing and treating complex brain and spine disorders across the Middle East. He completed his neurosurgical residency through the Arab Board of Neurosurgery training program at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar, one of the region's leading neurosurgical centres, and further trained in lateral skull base surgery and spine surgery through internationally recognised fellowship programs. This advanced training gave him expertise in modern microsurgical and endoscopic techniques for treating complex brain and spine conditions.

Throughout his career, Dr. Irfan has held leadership roles at major tertiary hospitals, including Head of Neurosurgery at Ahalia Hospital in Abu Dhabi, where he established and led the neurosurgical service. He has also worked at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (Abu Dhabi), King Fahad Hospital (Saudi Arabia), and NMC Royal Hospital (Abu Dhabi), managing everything from emergency trauma to elective brain and spine surgery. His expertise covers brain tumours, skull base lesions, hydrocephalus, spinal cord compression, degenerative disc disease, spine trauma, and paediatric neurosurgical conditions.

Dr. Irfan is particularly interested in minimally invasive spine surgery techniques that reduce tissue damage, postoperative pain, and recovery time. He is an active member of major international neurosurgical societies and remains committed to evidence-based, patient-centred care with a strong emphasis on safety and clear communication with patients and families.
