Dr. Shwan Hameed

Dr. Shwan Hameed is a UK-trained Consultant ENT and Head and Neck Surgeon with 18 years of clinical experience. He earned his medical degree from Salahaddin University in Iraq in 2000 and completed all his surgical specialty training in the United Kingdom, obtaining his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Otolaryngology in 2017. He holds a Master's degree in Otolaryngology from Liverpool University and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr. Shwan specializes in a broad range of ENT procedures including endoscopic ear surgery, eardrum repair, surgery for hearing bones (ossicles), cochlear implant placement, and endoscopic sinus surgery. He also performs thyroid surgery, salivary gland removal, neck dissection, and procedures on the voice box and swallowing structures. He has extensive experience treating conditions such as cholesteatoma (ear bone infection), hearing loss, chronic sinusitis, and thyroid nodules.

He spent 16 years working in prominent UK hospitals including Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Ninewells Hospital before relocating to the UAE. Dr. Shwan has contributed to international medical literature through research and publications, and previously taught medical students at the University of Dundee. He is well-suited for patients needing complex ear surgery, chronic sinus problems, or head and neck procedures requiring specialist expertise.
