Dr. Sura Thamer Alwan

Dr Sura Thamer Alwan is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 17 years of experience. She completed her medical degree (MDChB) at Almustansiriya University in Iraq, followed by an MD from the Jordanian Medical Council. She holds a Diploma in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrical Care from the University of Schleswig in Germany and a Master's degree in Reproductive Medicine and IVF from the UK. She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and has worked extensively across hospitals in the Middle East and GCC countries.

Dr Alwan manages the full spectrum of obstetric and gynaecological care. She is experienced in both high-risk and low-risk pregnancy management, antenatal and postnatal care, and normal and caesarean deliveries. Her clinical expertise also covers infertility assessment and treatment, IVF, polycystic ovaries, hormonal imbalances, menstrual disorders, contraception guidance, and treatment of sexual health concerns including infections and painful intercourse. She performs gynaecological procedures including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy for conditions such as ovarian cysts and fibroids.

Dr Alwan also offers aesthetic gynaecology services including laser vaginal rejuvenation, laser vulva whitening, and surgical vaginal repair. She focuses on providing comprehensive care to women across all life stages, from teenagers to adults, with an emphasis on personalised medical guidance for safe pregnancy and women's health.
