Dr. Hoseok Choi (Alex)

Dr. Hoseok Choi is a board-certified neurosurgeon from South Korea with extensive training in complex spinal surgery. He earned his medical degree from Hanyang University College of Medicine in Seoul in 2008, then completed a neurosurgery residency at Gil Medical Center and a dedicated spine fellowship at Wooridul Spine Hospital in Seoul, where he was named Best Fellow of the Year. He practiced spinal neurosurgery across South Korea before relocating to the United Arab Emirates in 2019.

Dr. Choi specializes in surgical treatment of spinal disorders, particularly conditions that have not improved with conservative care. He is skilled in disc herniations, spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spine), and related degenerative problems affecting the cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), and lumbar (lower-back) regions. His surgical techniques range from conventional open surgery to minimally invasive approaches including microscopic and endoscopic procedures, revision surgery for previously failed operations, and pain-relief procedures such as facet joint and sacroiliac joint treatments. He also performs spinal fusion when needed to stabilize the spine.
