Dr. Abdulla Alhassani

Dr. Abdulla Alhassani is a Consultant Therapeutic Gastroenterologist with over 20 years of experience in advanced endoscopy and complex gastrointestinal conditions. He holds fellowship credentials from the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) and is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by both Canadian and American boards. He completed specialized fellowship training in Therapeutic Endoscopy and Endoscopic Ultrasound in France. He previously led the Gastroenterology Department and Medical Departments at Zayed Military Hospital.

Dr. Alhassani specializes in therapeutic endoscopy procedures including ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) and EUS (endoscopic ultrasound), advanced polyp removal and tissue resection, and endoscopic bariatric therapies such as gastric sleeve, POSE (endoscopic plication), EndoBarrier, and intragastric balloons. He also offers endoscopic anti-reflux procedures including transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF). He is recognized as a regional pioneer in introducing and advancing multiple minimally invasive endoscopic weight-loss and reflux procedures.

Dr. Alhassani is currently President of the Emirates Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and holds membership in the American College of Gastroenterology and European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
