Dr. Ihsan Kommouna

Dr. Ihsan Kommouna is a Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology with over 17 years of clinical experience across Germany, Yemen, Iraq, and the UAE. He trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in Germany, where he obtained his specialist board certification (Facharzt), and holds a medical degree from Al-Mustansiryah University in Iraq. He practices at Emirates Hospitals Group in Dubai.

Dr. Kommouna specializes in advanced endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopy (EGD) for conditions like bleeding varices and strictures, colonoscopy with polyp removal and stent placement, and specialized techniques such as ERCP (for pancreatic and bile duct stones), capsule endoscopy, and enteroscopy. He also performs endoscopic obesity treatments using intragastric balloons and manages foreign-body removal and feeding-tube placement (PEG).
