Dr. Ousama Aridi

Dr Ousama Aridi is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with 27 years of clinical experience. He trained at the American University of Beirut and in the United States, and has spent 20 years leading obstetrics and gynaecology departments in academic hospitals across Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. He holds an academic appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, and has taught medical students and residents for over 22 years.

Dr Aridi's clinical focus spans surgical and medical gynaecology, obstetrics, and pelvic ultrasound. He is experienced in keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery for fibroids, ovarian cysts, and endometriosis, as well as complex hysterectomy procedures and surgery for precancerous cervical changes. In obstetrics, he manages normal and surgical deliveries, including vaginal birth after previous caesarean sections, breech delivery, and twin vaginal delivery. He has specialized training in diagnosing and surgically managing life-threatening placenta accreta and post-delivery bleeding, and has led placenta accreta teams for over 10 years.

Dr Aridi is a certified pelvic ultrasonographer trained through the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ISUOG), using advanced imaging to diagnose and differentiate benign and malignant ovarian masses. He manages high-risk pregnancies (preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm labour), recurrent miscarriage, pelvic pain, and menopause with hormone therapy. His approach emphasizes patient education, including safe medication use and imaging during pregnancy.
