Dr. Rik Kundra

Dr. Rik Kundra is Head of Orthopaedic Surgery at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital and a British consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He trained in the UK and was previously a trauma and orthopaedics consultant at a major NHS Trust before relocating to the UAE. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at MBRU, Dubai.

Dr. Kundra specializes in comprehensive knee care, from non-surgical management through advanced surgical techniques. He performs all forms of knee replacement surgery including partial and total knee replacements, with expertise in robot-assisted procedures. He is skilled in knee ligament repair (ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL injuries), arthroscopic treatment of cartilage and meniscus problems, and biologic treatments such as PRP and stem-cell therapy for knee injuries. He also manages knee cap problems, joint preservation techniques for younger active patients, and paediatric knee surgery.

Dr. Kundra is widely respected for his care of professional athletes with knee problems and takes a conservative, bone-preserving approach focused on rapid recovery. He is a faculty speaker at national and international meetings and holds memberships in the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK), the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedics Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).
