Dr. Yasser Madani

Dr. Yasser Madani is a UK-Board Certified Consultant Pulmonologist who joined HealthPoint in June 2023. He obtained his MBBS with distinction from Barts and The London, Queen Mary, University of London, followed by postgraduate training in General Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine across leading London hospitals including Royal Free, Royal Brompton, Harefield, and Imperial College. He completed a clinical fellowship in pleural disease and intervention in Wales, and is dual-accredited in Respiratory Medicine and General Internal Medicine. Dr. Madani became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2024 and has over 10 years of experience in pulmonology.

His clinical scope covers the full range of lung conditions and sleep disorders, from common problems like asthma and chronic cough to complex conditions including lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, and tuberculosis. He specialises in pleural disease (fluid around the lungs) and performs advanced procedures including bronchoscopy, needle biopsies, medical thoracoscopy, and ultrasound-guided interventions. He is also experienced in smoking cessation support and managing respiratory complications of COVID-19.

Dr. Madani is actively engaged in medical education and research. He was an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Brunel Medical School and has taught postgraduate respiratory courses. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy of Medicine (Ethics) and was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor at UAE University in 2024. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and served as Principal Investigator for the PROSPECT trial and recruiter for the RECOVERY trial.
