Dr. Shifa Salih

Dr. Shifa is a consultant paediatrician with over 25 years of experience in acute, emergency, inpatient and outpatient paediatric care. She specialises in paediatric endocrinology—the hormonal and growth disorders of children—and has a particular focus on childhood obesity management. She trained in the UK and India, and currently practises at Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Shifa manages a wide range of conditions affecting children, from acute emergencies and chronic diseases to growth and developmental concerns. Her clinical expertise spans paediatric asthma, hormonal imbalances, and obesity in children. She combines clinical care with active teaching; she was previously a Senior Lecturer at Gulf Medical College in Ajman and continues to train medical students and postgraduate residents through partnerships with Mafraq Hospital and the Arab Board.
