Dr. Bharadwaj Ponnada

Dr. Bharadwaj Ponnada is a Specialist in Medical Oncology at Zulekha Hospital in Dubai and Sharjah. He holds an MBBS, MD in Internal Medicine, and DM (Doctorate of Medicine) in Medical Oncology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kerala, India. Before joining Zulekha Hospital, he worked at HCG Cancer Centre, one of India's largest cancer hospital networks, where he gained extensive clinical experience across multiple cancer types.

Dr. Ponnada specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, gynaecological cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, blood cancers, lung cancers, kidney and bladder cancers, head and neck cancers, and childhood cancers. He is also experienced in stem cell transplantation for cancer patients and immunotherapy approaches. His research focuses on cancer management, including prevention strategies and treatment-related side effects. He has served as a principal investigator in multiple international clinical trials, working on advanced therapies for liver cancer, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer.

Dr. Ponnada earned a gold medal as the best outgoing student during his MD training, reflecting his academic excellence. He is fluent in English, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi, making him accessible to patients from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
