Dr. Mustafa Hassan Marai

Dr. Mustafa Hassan Marai is Head of the Dermatology Department and a Consultant Dermatologist at NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah. With 29 years of clinical experience, he is internationally trained in the UK and board-certified across multiple dermatology disciplines. He earned his medical degree from Al Arab Medical University in Libya and completed advanced training in the UK, including a Master's degree in Clinical Dermatology from King's College London, postgraduate qualifications from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ireland, and an MD from the University of Leeds.

Dr. Marai manages the full spectrum of skin conditions in children and adults, from common disorders like acne, eczema and psoriasis to complex cases including vitiligo, skin cancers (melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma) and sexually transmitted infections. He performs dermatologic surgery for moles, skin cysts and skin cancers, and offers advanced treatments including laser therapy for hair removal and scar revision, biological injections for severe inflammatory conditions, PRP and mesotherapy for skin and hair rejuvenation, and aesthetic procedures such as Botox and fillers.

He is an active educator, having trained dermatology residents and medical students throughout his career, and is a member of several international dermatology societies. Dr. Marai speaks Arabic and English.
