Dr. Puja G. Khaitan

Dr. Puja Khaitan is a Professor and Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, where she serves as Director of Robotic Surgery and Director of Oesophageal & Foregut Surgery. She is an American board-certified general and thoracic surgeon with over a decade of experience in non-cardiac chest surgery. Dr. Khaitan trained at leading institutions including the University of Texas Southwestern (medical degree), Emory University Hospital, Harvard's Brigham & Women's Hospital, and completed a research fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Centre focusing on cancer biology.

Dr. Khaitan specialises in treating both benign and malignant conditions of the lung, oesophagus, mediastinum, chest wall, and foregut. Her key areas of focus include lung cancer, mesothelioma, oesophageal cancer, chest wall tumours, and mediastinal masses.
