Dr. Muhammad Faisal Ehsan

Dr. Muhammad Faisal Ehsan is a UK-trained consultant anaesthetist with 27 years of clinical experience. He completed his medical degree in Pakistan, then trained at Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital in Saudi Arabia before moving to the UK, where he obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Anaesthetists and completed specialist training at NHS trusts in North West England. He was awarded his CCT (Completion of Training certificate) in 2015 and held a substantive consultant post in anaesthesia, pain management and ICU at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Trust, where he was also involved in teaching junior doctors.

Since 2017, Dr. Ehsan has worked in the UAE, joining Al Ain Hospital as a consultant and later Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), where he was instrumental in establishing the UAE National Burns Service in collaboration with the Department of Health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped set up and manage the hospital's COVID ICU. His clinical expertise spans obstetric anaesthesia (including labour pain relief and caesarean section), anaesthesia for reconstructive microvascular surgery, thoracic and regional techniques, and preoperative patient optimisation.

He is passionate about training and mentoring junior doctors and remains active in professional development and service delivery across complex surgical cases.
