Dr. Patrick Ukwade

Dr. Patrick Ukwade is a consultant physician in the Emergency Medicine Department at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. He is UK board-certified in emergency medicine through the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) and holds fellowship credentials from both RCEM and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. With over two decades of experience in acute and emergency care, he has worked across multiple NHS trusts in the UK and currently serves at SSMC and Khalifa University.

Dr. Ukwade specializes in managing urgent and life-threatening conditions in both adults and children. He has held leadership roles including Interim Chair of the Emergency Department at SSMC and currently serves as Clerkship Director for Emergency Medicine at Khalifa University, where he trains the next generation of emergency physicians. His clinical focus includes observational emergency medicine alongside comprehensive emergency department care.

He is well-suited for patients needing assessment and treatment of acute medical and surgical emergencies, particularly those who benefit from the expertise of a senior physician with extensive UK and Middle East experience.
