Dr. Ed Ashtar

Dr. Ed Ashtar is an American Board Certified Consultant Oncologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience. He trained in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as Chief of the Oncology fellows. His medical foundation includes a Diploma of Human Medicine with Honors from Aleppo University (1987) and internal medicine residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center (1998), where he earned the Outstanding Resident Performance award.

Dr. Ashtar has held leadership roles throughout his career, including heading the Hematology & Oncology Professional Association in Pennsylvania and founding Cancer Professionals of Greater Washington in Northern Virginia/Maryland. At NIH, he was a Research Investigator and co-investigator on cancer vaccine protocols, contributing to multiple ASCO presentations and publications. He has received the ASCO Foundation Merit Award and was named America's Top Oncologist in 2007.

He now practices at King's College Hospital London (Dubai), bringing his extensive research background and clinical expertise to patients requiring cancer treatment. Dr. Ashtar is fluent in English, Arabic, and French, and is well-suited for patients seeking experienced oncology care with a strong foundation in both clinical practice and research.
