Prof. Amgad Farouk

Prof. Amgad Farouk is a clinical associate professor of urology at Sharjah University and an attending urologist at Medcare Dubai. He holds a PhD from Cairo University and completed advanced laparoscopy fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the USA. He is the first surgeon in the Middle East and Gulf region to be accredited as a Master Surgeon in Urology by the SRC.

Prof. Farouk specializes in minimally invasive keyhole techniques for urological conditions. He performs flexible endoscopic stone removal, laser lithotripsy, and extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy (ESWL) for kidney, ureter and bladder stones. He is also experienced in endoscopic prostate surgery, urethral procedures, and transrectal ultrasound imaging. His clinical practice covers male and female sexual dysfunction, infertility, urological cancers, bladder control problems, and disorders including overactive and neurogenic bladder. He conducts urodynamic testing to diagnose bladder function issues.

With over three decades of experience, Prof. Farouk is an active member of major urological societies including the European Association of Urology, American Urological Association, and Emirates Society of Urology.
