Dr. Omer Farooq

Dr. Omer Farooq is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. He is a UK-qualified physician with over 17 years of experience in anaesthesia and acute pain management. Dr. Farooq holds fellowships from the Royal College of Anaesthetists (UK) and the College of Anaesthetists (Ireland), and is a member of the Medical Educators Academy.

Dr. Farooq specializes in regional anaesthesia (nerve blocks), obstetric anaesthesia for pregnant women during surgery and childbirth, perioperative pain management, high-risk anaesthesia, day surgery anaesthesia, sedation, and non-operative room procedures.
