Dr. Timothy Souster

Dr. Timothy Souster is Vice Chair of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute and Division Chair of the Emergency Medicine Department. He brings two decades of clinical experience, having worked as a staff emergency medicine physician at South Health Campus Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, Canada before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Dr. Souster is also certified in Family Medicine and previously worked as a family medicine physician in Sundre, Alberta.

Dr. Souster completed his medical degree at the University of Calgary, followed by residency training in family medicine at the University of Alberta and emergency medicine at the University of Calgary. His clinical background spans both primary care and acute emergency settings, enabling him to manage a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries in high-pressure environments.

He is recognized for his humanitarian work and departmental leadership. Dr. Souster received the South Health Campus Rookie of the Year award in 2014 and was named Departmental Humanitarian of the Year in 2017 for his work in Mosul, Iraq. He is a good fit for patients seeking emergency care from an experienced physician with strong clinical foundations in both family medicine and acute care.
