Dr. Naim Aoun

Dr. Naim Aoun is an Assistant Professor and Director of ICU at American Hospital Dubai, specializing in pulmonary medicine, critical care, and sleep disorders. He completed a triple fellowship in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine from Tufts University's St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boston, and previously worked as a consultant at St. Joseph Hospital in the USA. His clinical training spans internal medicine and all three critical specialties.

Dr. Aoun treats a wide range of lung conditions including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease (scarring of the lungs), and pulmonary artery hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs). He also manages adult sleep disorders such as sleep apnea (interrupted breathing during sleep), insomnia, and excessive daytime sleepiness. In critical care, he provides intensive medical management for patients with respiratory, neurological, and cardiac emergencies.

He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French, making him accessible to a diverse patient population.
