Dr. Maysarah Alawneh

Dr Maysarah Alawneh is a consultant obstetrician and fetal medicine specialist with over a decade of experience across the UK, USA, and UAE. He trained extensively in fetal medicine at King's College London under Professor Kypros Nicholaides at the Fetal Medicine Foundation, and completed a fellowship in Fetal Maternal Medicine at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Virginia. He now practises at King's College Hospital London (Dubai).

Dr Alawneh established and leads the Fetal Maternal Medicine Department at Emirates Hospitals Group, where he implemented a pregnancy surveillance programme that improved outcomes for mothers and babies. He provides comprehensive antenatal care and specialises in managing complex pregnancies—including multiple pregnancies, preterm labour, pre-eclampsia, and gestational diabetes. He performs a wide range of prenatal ultrasounds including Down syndrome screening, detailed fetal anatomy scans, growth assessments, and Doppler studies. He is also skilled in prenatal genetic testing such as chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and amniocentesis.

Dr Alawneh is an active contributor to clinical research with multiple peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations, primarily in preterm labour. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), UK.
