Dr. Safia Rehman

Dr. Safia Rehman is a consultant clinical imaging specialist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. She trained at Oxford University Hospitals in the UK under experts in nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology, and later worked as a consultant at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, one of the UK's largest teaching hospitals. With over 18 years of clinical experience, she brings deep expertise across nuclear medicine, diagnostic radiology, and emergency imaging.

Dr. Rehman specializes in hybrid imaging techniques (PET-CT and SPECT-CT scans) in both adults and children, nuclear cardiology (heart imaging using radioactive tracers), and specialized cancer imaging including prostate cancer, neuroendocrine tumours, and neuroblastoma. She also performs therapeutic nuclear medicine for thyroid disorders, parathyroid imaging, and dementia-related brain scans, alongside general body and emergency radiology.

She holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), the European Board Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine (FEBNM), and the European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR).
