Dr. Khalid Abdulla Alawadi (PART TIME)

Dr. Khalid Abdulla Alawadi is a Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon at Medcare Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital in Dubai, with 22 years of clinical experience. He trained in Egypt and Germany, earning his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo and specialist qualifications from leading German institutions including the University of Freiburg. He holds certifications from the German Board of Plastic Surgery, the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS), and the European Board of Hand Surgery (FESSH).

Dr. Alawadi specializes in hand surgery, wrist surgery, peripheral nerve repair, and soft tissue reconstruction using microsurgical techniques. He has extensive experience managing hand and wrist fractures, arthritis, congenital hand conditions, nerve compressions (such as carpal tunnel syndrome), tendon injuries, and complex reconstructive cases including finger amputation and limb salvage. He also treats nerve injuries, nerve tumors, and scarring complications.

He established and led the Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery unit at Rashid Hospital in Dubai, which became the leading centre for hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery in the UAE. Dr. Alawadi is a regional faculty member for the AO Society and a trainer for Allergan Medical Aesthetics. He is active in professional development, having published numerous articles and presented at international conferences.
