Dr. Miguel Ley Nacher

Dr. Miguel Ley Nacher is a board-certified neurologist and clinical psychologist with deep expertise in epilepsy and complex neurological conditions. He completed dual residency training in neurology and psychiatry at Hospital del Mar in Barcelona (2009–2013), then pursued advanced fellowship training in epilepsy at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and a leading US comprehensive epilepsy center. Since 2014, he has served as a consultant neurologist at Hospital del Mar's Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, a tertiary referral centre for stroke and seizure disorders, and has also worked at Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Ley Nacher leads epilepsy programs across emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and critical care settings. His technical skills include long-term video EEG monitoring, epilepsy surgery, stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG), intraoperative brain mapping, laser thermal therapy, and radiofrequency ablation for drug-resistant seizures. Beyond epilepsy, he manages strokes, headaches, movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease and essential tremor, ADHD, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular disease, dementia, peripheral nerve disorders, and brain tumours.

Dr. Ley Nacher holds a master's degree in statistics and a PhD in biomedicine, and is actively involved in academic research with multiple peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of leading professional societies including the American Academy of Neurology, European Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society, and International League Against Epilepsy. His training and multidisciplinary experience make him a trusted specialist for patients with complex neurological conditions.
