Dr. Brian Mtemererwa

Dr. Brian Mtemererwa is a UK dual-trained consultant endocrinologist and internal medicine physician at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital in Sharjah, with 27 years of clinical experience. He completed his medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Zimbabwe and underwent extensive higher specialty training in the UK at leading hospitals including Leicester Royal Infirmary, Northampton General Hospital, and University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. He holds UK membership of the Royal College of Physicians and specialist qualifications in endocrinology, diabetes, and general internal medicine.

Dr. Mtemererwa manages the full spectrum of endocrine and metabolic conditions, including type 1 and type 2 diabetes (with insulin pump therapy), thyroid disorders and cancer, pituitary disorders, adrenal gland conditions, bone and calcium metabolism problems, and autoimmune endocrine disorders. He is experienced in endocrine emergencies, acute general medicine, fertility and reproductive endocrinology, and pregnancy-related diabetes care. He also treats cholesterol management, weight-related conditions, and electrolyte disorders.

Having spent nearly two decades as a consultant in the UK, where he served as an honorary senior clinical lecturer and examiner for the University of Birmingham Medical School, Dr. Mtemererwa brings substantial expertise in managing complex and acutely unwell patients.
