Dr. Ismail Abbara

Dr. Ismail Abbara is a German board-certified consultant urologist and andrologist with nearly 45 years of clinical experience managing complex urological and male fertility cases. He trained in Germany and Egypt, beginning his career at Frankfurt University Hospital before undertaking fellowships across the UAE and Germany. He now practises at King's College Hospital London (Dubai), bringing deep expertise in endourology, andrology, uro-oncology, and renal transplant.

Dr. Abbara is known particularly for penile prosthesis implantation—he has performed over 550 procedures over 38 years—and manages the full spectrum of urological conditions using medical, endoscopic, laparoscopic, laser, and minimally invasive techniques. His clinical focus spans erectile dysfunction, male infertility, kidney stones, prostate cancer, bladder and kidney conditions, urinary incontinence, and pediatric urology. He also offers advanced imaging (2D, 3D, and 4D ultrasound) and urodynamic studies.

Dr. Abbara has held significant leadership roles, including Head of the Educational Committee and Board Member of the Pan Arab Continence Society, Co-Founder and former Head of the Scientific Committee of the Emirates Urological Society, and Co-Chairman of international urology conferences. He is fluent in English and Arabic, making him accessible to diverse patient populations.
