Dr. Fazil Mohamed Ashiq

Dr. Fazil Mohamed Ashiq is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He completed his medical degree at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India, and trained extensively in the United Kingdom, where he worked as a Consultant Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist at Essex Cardiothoracic Centre in Basildon and University Hospitals in Coventry before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Ashiq specializes in anesthesia for complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, including heart and liver transplants. He has managed perioperative care for over 2,000 cardiac and thoracic surgical patients and brings extensive experience in advanced monitoring techniques used during heart surgery. He was involved in establishing the cardiothoracic surgical program at Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.

With 27 years of clinical experience, Dr. Ashiq is well suited for patients requiring anesthesia for major heart, lung, or transplant surgery, as well as those needing intensive care management during complex procedures.
