Dr. Mohamed Hanafy Salama

Dr. Mohamed Hanafy Salama is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital in Dubai, bringing over three decades of clinical experience across Egypt, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and holds memberships in the American College of Rheumatology, the Emirates Society of Rheumatology, and the Emirates Society of Osteoporosis.

Dr. Salama treats the full spectrum of rheumatic conditions, from autoimmune diseases like systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and Sjögren's syndrome to connective tissue disorders such as scleroderma and Behçet's disease. He also manages inflammatory muscle conditions (polymyositis and dermatomyositis), bone diseases including osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, and joint and tendon problems ranging from gout and ankylosing spondylitis to rotator cuff and Achilles tendon issues.
