Dr. Mohamad Mooty

Dr. Mohamad Mooty is Division Chair of the Infectious Disease Program at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. With 26 years of clinical experience, he specializes in treating a broad range of infections including bacterial, viral, fungal, mycobacterial and parasitic diseases. He earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut and completed his internal medicine residency and infectious disease fellowship at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.

Dr. Mooty treats conditions ranging from common infections like pneumonia and hepatitis to serious systemic diseases such as sepsis, tuberculosis, endocarditis and bone infections (osteomyelitis). He also runs a travel clinic service, advising patients on infectious disease prevention before international travel.
