Dr. Aleksandr Polupan

Dr. Aleksandr Polupan is an ICU physician with 15 years of experience, primarily in neurocritical care at the Burdenko Neurosurgical Institute in Moscow. He specializes in managing severely ill patients in the intensive care unit, with particular expertise in treating traumatic brain injuries, brain bleeds, and other neurological emergencies. He joined American Hospital Dubai in 2024.

Dr. Polupan is skilled in critical care procedures including emergency airway management (intubation), insertion of breathing tubes (chest tubes and central lines), and advanced respiratory support techniques. He also has expertise in continuous kidney dialysis (CRRT), advanced monitoring of brain function, and antibiotic therapy for critically ill patients.
