Dr. Wael Hosni

Dr. Wael Hosni is a German board-certified consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with extensive expertise in advanced minimally invasive surgery. He trained at Cairo University and the University of Cologne in Germany, where he obtained his medical degree and German board certification. He is internationally recognized for pioneering vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery)—a scarless surgical technique—and was among the first surgeons to establish this approach in Germany before introducing it to the UAE in 2022.

Dr. Hosni specializes in treating complex gynaecological conditions including fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic organ prolapse, and female urinary incontinence. He performs advanced laparoscopic procedures, scarless hysterectomies, pelvic floor reconstruction, and comprehensive obstetric care including high-risk pregnancy management, vaginal delivery, and caesarean sections. He is also certified in colposcopy, cervical screening, and gynaecological cancer management.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Hosni is an active surgical trainer and international speaker at medical congresses and hands-on workshops. He contributes to clinical research and scientific publications in minimally invasive gynaecology and surgical innovation. He currently serves as Vice President of the Emirates Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society and previously led obstetrics and gynaecology departments and centres of excellence at leading Dubai hospitals. His approach combines evidence-based medicine with advanced surgical innovation and patient-centred care.
