Dr. Aditya Rakhecha

Dr Aditya Rakhecha is a Consultant Neonatologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience across the UK, India, and the UAE. He graduated in medicine from the University College of Medical Sciences in Delhi, then obtained his DCH (Diploma in Child Health) in Paediatrics. He holds MRCPCH and FRCPCH credentials from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the UK, and is British Board Certified in Neonatal Medicine (CCT). He is on the GMC (UK) Specialist Register for Neonatology, ensuring his practice meets the highest international standards.

Dr Aditya specializes in caring for critically ill newborns and premature infants. His expertise spans non-invasive and invasive ventilation support, nutrition management for preterm babies, and therapeutic cooling (a treatment for birth-related brain injury). He performs newborn follow-up assessments and paediatric heart ultrasound examinations, and tracks the neurodevelopmental progress of former preterm babies as they grow. He also manages acute paediatric emergencies in the neonatal period.

Beyond direct patient care, Dr Aditya is a key bridge between neonatal teams and anaesthesia specialists. Anaesthesiologists in Abu Dhabi regularly consult him for preoperative assessment and sedation planning in newborns requiring surgery or intervention. This collaborative approach ensures newborns receive safe, coordinated care across multiple specialties.
