Dr. Dorai Ramanathan

Dr. Dorai Ramanathan is a UK-trained Consultant Medical Oncologist with nearly 20 years of experience in cancer care. He trained extensively within the UK's National Health Service (NHS) at several prestigious institutions including University Hospitals Leicester, Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, and Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, where he gained broad expertise in managing adult solid tumors. He is now Head of the Oncology Department at Al Zahra Hospital in Dubai.

Dr. Ramanathan treats a comprehensive range of cancers including breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers (stomach, colon, and rectum), gynaecological cancers (ovarian, uterine, and peritoneal), urological cancers (kidney, bladder, and prostate), lung cancer, head and neck cancers, brain tumors, and soft tissue and bone sarcomas. He also directs the Breast Cancer JCI Accreditation Program and chairs both the Breast Multidisciplinary Team and the Oncology Tumor Board at Al Zahra, coordinating specialist input to ensure each patient receives individualised, comprehensive cancer care.

He is recognised as one of the leading oncologists in the UAE and works with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic treatment planning and support for adult patients with cancer.
