Dr. Bassam Mohanad Ahmad

Dr. Bassam Mohanad Ahmad is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over two decades of experience. He graduated with his BDS from Baghdad University in 1999 and completed specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Baghdad Medical City teaching hospital, earning his FIBMS (membership from the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations) in 2008. He has also trained in laser applications for oral treatment in Germany and in modern implant dentistry techniques including bone augmentation and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) therapy. Dr. Ahmad has been practicing at Mediclinic Al Ain since 2011.

He offers a broad range of surgical and restorative dental procedures. His expertise includes dental implants with or without sinus lifting, full-arch implant placement, facial bone reconstruction using bone grafts, extraction of impacted teeth and wisdom teeth, jaw fracture treatment, and laser-assisted procedures. He is trained to work under general anaesthesia for complex cases and performs root canal treatment, fillings, crowns, and other restorative work.

Dr. Ahmad combines traditional surgical techniques with modern laser technology and regenerative methods. He is a good fit for patients needing implant dentistry, complex jaw surgery, bone reconstruction, or those interested in minimally invasive laser treatments for gum concerns or TMJ pain.
