Dr. Arun Arya

Dr. Arun Arya is Head of the Pulmonology Department at NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi, bringing over 27 years of respiratory medicine experience. He trained at leading UK and Irish hospitals including Cork University Hospital and St. James's University Hospital Dublin, where he completed specialist training and earned dual accreditation in pulmonary medicine and internal medicine from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2008. He is an examiner for the MRCP qualification and has established training courses in chest procedures and non-invasive ventilation.

Dr. Arya specializes in complex lung conditions using advanced diagnostic techniques including bronchoscopy, EBUS-TBNA (keyhole lung biopsy using ultrasound guidance), transbronchial biopsies, pleuroscopy (viewing the lung lining), pleural biopsies, and chest ultrasound.
