Dr. Christine El Yahchouchi

Dr. Christine El Yahchouchi is a Consultant in the Anaesthesia and Pain Management Department at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. She completed her residency in anaesthesiology at the American University of Beirut, followed by fellowship training in pain medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Ohio. She has also participated in clinical research in pain medicine at Mayo Clinic Minnesota, resulting in several peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. El Yahchouchi has extensive experience performing interventional pain procedures, including spine and musculoskeletal injections, radiofrequency ablation (heat treatment to block nerve pain signals), and neuromodulation (implanted devices to manage pain). She treats a wide range of chronic pain conditions including cancer pain, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, chronic back pain, failed back surgery syndrome, and complex regional pain syndrome.

She is active in international professional organizations and holds leadership positions as an instructor and vice-chair of education for the international division at the Spine Intervention Society, reflecting her commitment to advancing pain medicine practice and teaching.
