Dr. Shahid Afzal

Dr. Shahid Afzal is a consultant paediatrician and neonatologist with over 19 years of experience across leading hospitals in Pakistan and the UAE. He holds fellowship status from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and is trained to manage the full spectrum of child health from birth through adolescence. His practice centres on paediatric and neonatal emergencies, complex cases requiring multidisciplinary input, and routine outpatient diagnosis and treatment of common childhood conditions.

Dr. Afzal brings a patient-centred approach to his work, with particular expertise in stabilising and caring for unwell newborns and acutely ill children. He works across both emergency and planned care settings, offering families clear guidance on managing their child's health. Beyond direct patient care, he serves as an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he teaches junior doctors and medical students through bedside teaching, lectures and workshops.
