Dr. Suresh Lakshmanan

Dr. Suresh Lakshmanan is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He holds an MD and FRCA (Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists), with 34 years of clinical experience spanning India, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. He trained in cardiac, neuro and thoracic anesthesia at Sri Chitra Thirunal Institute in India and completed specialist training in the UK, obtaining his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST).

Dr. Lakshmanan specializes in cardiothoracic anesthesia and perioperative care, having worked as a Consultant Cardiothoracic Anesthetist at leading UK hospitals from 2004 to 2012, and subsequently at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Centre in Dubai from 2014 to 2020. He has published approximately 17 articles, with 11 appearing in indexed medical journals, and has made notable contributions including developing the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation program and blood conservation techniques in cardiothoracic surgery.
