About Dr. Bahgat
Dr. Ahmed Yassin Bahgat is a Consultant Otolaryngologist at Saudi German Hospital in Dubai, with extensive international training in sleep surgery and advanced ENT care. He holds an MBBS and is board certified in Sleep-Disordered Breathing Surgery (SDBS), as well as a Fellow of the European Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. He completed fellowships at leading institutions including the University of Pavia in Italy, University of Versailles in France, and both the University of Central Florida and University of Southern California in the United States.
Dr. Bahgat's clinical focus is on treating sleep apnea, snoring, and related airway conditions using both diagnostic and surgical approaches. His expertise includes sleep endoscopy to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea, advanced procedures such as coblation tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy (including in children), pharyngoplasty to enlarge the airway, and tongue base surgery to reduce airway obstruction. He also serves as an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and Consultant of Sleep Surgery at Alexandria University in Egypt.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the International Surgical Sleep Society, and the European Rhinologic Society, and co-founded the Egyptian Laryngological and Sleep Surgery Society. Dr. Bahgat is fluent in English and Arabic.
