Dr. Maryam Alahmad

Dr. Maryam Alahmad is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with 9 years of clinical experience. She completed her gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at SSMC and holds board certifications in gastroenterology from the Arab Board, as well as internal medicine certifications from both the Arab Board and Jordan.

Dr. Alahmad specializes in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), endoscopic procedures, and general gastroenterology. She currently serves as Associate Director of the IBD program and Associate Director of Research in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at SSMC, roles that reflect her expertise and commitment to advancing clinical care and research in her field.

In 2021–2022, Dr. Alahmad was selected for the prestigious Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Journal Mentee Program and was recognized with the 'Most Outstanding Reviewer Award' by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
