Dr. Miriam Camboni

Dr. Miriam Camboni is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, bringing 23 years of clinical experience in perioperative medicine and pain management. She graduated with honors from the University of Sassari, Italy in 2002, and completed her anesthesiology residency there from 2003 to 2006, followed by an internship at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan. She has worked as a Consultant Anesthesiologist since 2007, most recently at Hospital Son Llatzer in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, where she developed expertise across the full spectrum of anesthesia practice.

Dr. Camboni's clinical skills encompass general and regional anesthesia (including ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and intravenous access), anesthesia for procedures outside the operating room, acute pain management, post-operative recovery care, and intensive care. She has managed both major and minor surgical cases in ambulatory and inpatient settings. Over the past decade, she has worked consistently alongside surgical teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in perioperative care.

Beyond her hospital work, Dr. Camboni has dedicated time to humanitarian service, spending two weeks each year for five years with the Amigos del pueblo Saharawi de Las Islas Baleares NGO in the Saharawi refugee camps in South Algeria, where she helped deliver anesthesia for over 300 urologic and gynecologic surgical procedures. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian, and maintains an active lifestyle including yoga and hiking.
