Dr. Deepika Gandhi

Dr. Deepika Gandhi is a Senior Paediatric Intensivist with 22 years of experience managing critically ill children in intensive care settings. She trained in India and completed a Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Intensive Care at British Columbia Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. She was among the first graduates of India's Paediatric Critical Care Fellowship Program in 2003. Before joining NMC Healthcare in Sharjah, she held senior leadership roles at leading tertiary hospitals in Chennai, India, including SIMS Hospital, Apollo Children's Hospital, and Mehta Children's Hospital, where she served as Chief of the Paediatric Critical Care Department.

Dr. Gandhi manages a wide range of life-threatening conditions in children, from septic shock and trauma to cardiac complications after surgery and complex post-operative care. She is skilled in procedural sedation and neurocritical care for children with brain injuries. She has authored and co-edited major textbooks on paediatric critical care and contributed to international medical literature, with published research on septic shock management, dengue-related complications, and rare blood disorders in children.
