Dr. Ankita Batra

Dr. Ankita Batra is a Specialist Anesthesiologist and Intensive Care physician at American Hospital Dubai with over 10 years of clinical experience. She trained in India, completing her MBBS in 2012 and MD in Anesthesiology from King George's Medical University in 2015. She then completed senior residency at PGI Chandigarh, one of Asia's leading institutes, and earned a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from the National Board at Fortis Hospital in India (2017–2019).

Dr. Batra specializes in perioperative anesthesia care and advanced management of critically ill patients. She has extensive hands-on experience with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)—a life-support technology for the most severely ill—including assisting with ECMO insertion and patient transport. She has managed patients recovering from bone marrow, liver, and kidney transplants, as well as those with blood cancers, and worked extensively during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She is a good fit for patients requiring complex anesthesia for surgery, those in intensive care with organ failure or needing advanced life support, and families navigating transplant recovery or critical illness.
