Prof. Abdulla Shehab

Prof. Dr. Abdulla Shehab is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with 25 years of experience spanning Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and medical education. He practises at Burjeel Abu Dhabi and holds leadership positions within the cardiology community, including General Secretary of the Emirates Cardiac Society and Vice President of the Gulf Intervention Society. He was the Immediate Past President of the Emirates Society of Cardiology.

Prof. Shehab treats a wide range of heart conditions including coronary artery disease, heart valve disorders, irregular heartbeats, heart failure, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. He performs advanced cardiac interventions and imaging, and has particular expertise in sports cardiology and heart care during pregnancy. He has published over 152 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and is Chief Editor of the Emirates Medical Journal.
