Dr. Sanjiv Kumar Kakkar

Dr. Sanjiv Kumar Kakkar is a pediatrician with over two decades of clinical experience treating children from newborns through adolescence. He trained at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India, where he completed his medical degree (MBBS) and specialist qualification in pediatrics (MD). His career began in Indian Armed Forces hospitals, where he spent 24 years managing a broad range of pediatric conditions in both neonatal and general child health. He has also studied hospital management at the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi, and worked briefly at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Dr. Kakkar brings international experience from multiple GCC countries. He worked as a specialist pediatrician at Al Raffah Hospital in Muscat, Oman, and subsequently at a JCI-accredited hospital in the northern emirates of the UAE for two and a half years before joining NMC Healthcare in Sharjah. His background spans neonatal care, acute pediatric illness, and general child health across diverse patient populations and healthcare settings.
