Dr. Maya Alwan

Dr. Maya Alwan is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with 17 years of experience managing pregnancy, childbirth, and women's health. She trained at the Lebanese University (BAU), earning both her medical degree and Master's degree in obstetrics and gynaecology. She has worked as a Senior Specialist at major hospitals in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon before joining Medcare in Dubai.

Dr. Alwan manages the full spectrum of obstetric and gynaecological care, from routine antenatal (pregnancy) and postnatal (postpartum) care to complex high-risk pregnancies. She performs vaginal deliveries, assisted deliveries, and emergency caesarean sections. For gynaecological conditions, she is experienced in minimally invasive techniques including laparoscopy (keyhole surgery), hysteroscopy, and colposcopy, as well as surgical procedures such as removal of ovarian cysts, fibroid removal, and hysterectomy.
