Dr. Bashir Sankari

Dr. Bashir Sankari is Transplant Director of the Urology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Surgical Institute, where he oversees multiple surgical specialties including ENT, plastic surgery, dentistry, and urology. With over 45 years of experience and more than three decades at Cleveland Clinic, he brings deep expertise in urological surgery and organ transplantation.

Dr. Sankari specializes in kidney transplantation and renal vascular surgery. He has performed more than 1,000 adult and pediatric kidney transplants throughout his career. Most recently, he served as Chief of Urology and Director of Renal Transplant at Charleston Area Medical Center, a Cleveland Clinic affiliate, where he established two satellite transplant programs on behalf of Cleveland Clinic across different US states.

He completed his medical degree at the American University of Beirut, followed by urology residency training at St. Louis University and advanced fellowship training in renal transplantation and renal vascular surgery at Cleveland Clinic.
